MyMysticDay publishes two different kinds of material, and the distinction between them is the point of this page.

The calculations

Planetary positions, house cusps, aspects, lunar phases and retrograde periods are computed from standard astronomical sources — Meeus series for the Sun and Moon, JPL orbital elements for the planets, Placidus houses, and the historical time zone rules in force on the date in question. These are arithmetic, they are reproducible, and they can be checked against any ephemeris. Our method is documented at how we calculate.

Where a calculation cannot be made honestly, we withhold it rather than guess. A chart without a known birth time is published without an ascendant and without houses, because an invented ascendant reads as fact and would be wrong.

A calculation is only as good as what you type into it. A wrong birth time, a wrong city or a wrong date produces a chart that is arithmetically correct and about somebody else, and we have no way of knowing that has happened.

The interpretations

Everything written around those numbers — what a placement means, what a card suggests, what a comparison indicates — is symbolic material offered for reflection and entertainment. It is an interpretive tradition, not a scientific finding, and we do not present it as one.

It is not a prediction. Nothing on this site forecasts events, and no reading can tell you what another person will decide, feel or do. Where an interpretation takes a position, it is a position within a symbolic system, not a statement of fact about your future.

We deliberately publish no compatibility percentage and no accuracy score, because those numbers are invented everywhere they appear.

No result, reading or report is a guarantee of an outcome. Nothing here promises that a relationship will begin or end, that money will arrive, that a job will be offered, that a decision will turn out well, or that anything at all will happen on any particular day.

That is not a disclaimer bolted on to protect us from a product we secretly present as something else — it is an accurate description of what astrology and tarot are, and the rest of the site is written to match it. We do not claim scientific validity, we do not publish invented certainty scores, and we do not tell anyone what is going to happen to them.

Some jurisdictions regulate or restrict the commercial provision of divinatory services. Where you are, that may include a requirement that such services be offered for entertainment only. They are. It remains your responsibility to know whether using them is permitted where you live.

Artificial intelligence

No artificial intelligence system writes the readings, reports or interpretations here. The calculations are arithmetic; the words around them are written by people. If we introduce an AI-assisted feature, it will be labelled where you use it, and everything on this page will apply to it with at least equal force.

Third-party content and links

Where this site links to another, we have no control over what is published there and take no responsibility for it. Where a third-party service — payment, sign-in — is involved in something you do here, that provider's own terms govern it.

Your decisions remain yours

We build these tools to give people a vocabulary for thinking about their own situation. Nothing here removes your judgement or your responsibility for what you choose, and nothing here should be the only reason you do anything. Insight first, agency always.

Our liability in connection with everything described on this page is governed by section 23 of the terms, which limits it as far as the law permits and no further — liability for injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, is never excluded.
